We at Anatune are going to be running a 2 day workshop on the 6th-7th March to help people in the flavour/fragrance industry and those associated with it, learn more about the many techniques available for understanding and gaining more knowledge about aromas and flavours.
The workshop will take place over 2 days and will include a review of flavour and fragrance analysis including the theory behind each technique, how to optimise each method and how to choose the most appropriate approach for your analysis.
Our Guest Speaker is Neil Owen from Givaudan, who is also the Chair of the IFRA Analytical Working Group (AWG). Let us introduce you to him.
The techniques covered will include static headspace, solid phase micro extraction (SPME), stir bar sorptive extraction (SBSE or Twister), automated tube exchange (ATEX), dynamic headspace (DHS) including multi volatile method (MVM) and selected ion flow tube mass spectrometry (SIFT-MS).
As well as covering method development and fundamentals of sample preparation, the best approaches, instrumentation and data analysis tools to use for untargeted (unknown) and targeted (known) analytes will be discussed.
The workshop will take place at the Hotel Felix in Cambridge and practical demonstrations will be shown from our lab in Girton, along with a lab tour.
The cost of the workshop is £100 + VAT per person, which is inclusive of food, refreshments and all course material.
