Rapid Large Volume Injection of Selected SVOCs, PAHs and Pesticides in Dichloromethane using the GERSTEL CIS 4+ Injector, the Anatune CoolR+ and Agilent 5975B GC-MS

By injecting a larger than usual volume of sample, improved limits of detection, the elimination of a final concentration step or a combination of both may be achieved. Rapid Large Volume Injection (RLVI) has been shown to be a robust and practical technique, but has suffered from the lack of a truly inert liner packing. The Anatune P type liner contains a pure, thermal stable, polymeric material that is intrinsically inert and promises near universal applicability. To illustrate this point, we have developed a 25µL RLVI method to analyse selected EPA 8270 analytes and pesticides in dichloromethane.
