The Focus Robotic Sample Processor as a Tool for the Multiple Analysis of Samples using Complementary Techniques

The Focus is a multifunctional instrument and can be used for the automated preparation and injection of samples using many techniques, for example SPME, headspace, liquid-liquid extraction, thermal desorption, difficult matrix introduction (DMI), derivatisation, to name but a few. It is straightforward to switch between these techniques, which can be an advantage for the multiple analyses of samples. Presented here is the data from analysing soap, soap powder and ointment samples using three techniques – headspace, SPME and DMI.
