Selected Ion Flow Tube Mass Spectrometry (SIFT-MS) enables direct, real time monitoring of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and inorganic gases. Unlike traditional chromatography-based techniques, there is no requirement to derivatise or separate compounds prior to analysis. Automation realizes the full potential of the fast SIFT-MS based measurements for diverse applications, delivering unparalleled sample throughput. This application note showcases applications examples where SIFT-MS analysis was successfully used in combination with automated headspace, automated Multiple Headspace Extractions (MHE), automated gas analysis and automated continuous headspace analysis (CHA), respectively.
